Click photo to goto Kickstarter site. First and foremost, THANK YOU SO MUCH for supporting the Art and Science of the Mars Rover Art Car (MRAC). We know times are hard for many and we really understand what it takes to give. Your gift may make that difference for some young child that may become inspired by the Mars Rover Art Car to learn more about science. How can any of us put a price on that? Thank You again!
The Mars Rover Art Car being built by the Desert Wizards of Mars, a Los Angeles collaborative art group, are presently building the Mars Rover Art Car. Here the inner skeleton is finished and painted, while the wheels are mocked up for placement.
[Click on picture] We are presently working on our Kickstarter funding site to make this happen. We are also applying for some possible grant money for our instruments… BUT… we need some cash now to continue the build. If you are as excited as we are (and that little girl) then please donate through the safe method of PayPal.
Send your donation via PayPal to firstname.lastname@example.org and we THANK YOU! Each person donating will be kept on record for some swag rewards and kickback when our Kickstarter page goes online.
[Click photo for video] The Mars Rover Art Car is beginning to take shape. This is a computer animation by Rovernaut Professor Pickle. The car will seat 8. The design of the Rocket Stove in the rear and the Rocker Bogies are presently under redesign. The excitement builds as the Rover is starting to take shape!
[Click on the photo above to see a video] of the Mars Rover Art Car under construction by the Desert Wizards of Mars! The photo shows the shields for the Nuclear Power Supply & Grilled Cheese Oven that will go on the back of the car.
Ray Cirino is the creator of “Sparky” the Dragon Oven that makes various foods from very low energy sourced tigs, and wood. Sparky is perhaps the world’s first mobile, eco-friendly dragon oven, made from recycled and reclaimed materials, from the bamboo ribbing of her wings to the ornate oven door from the 1800’s.
As a Captain on the MRAC, Ray will be building a Rocket Stove that will resemble the nuclear power supply on the Rover. The MRAC will demonstrate and educate people regarding permaculture and sustainable methods to cook and achieve energy because when we travel to Mars, the astronauts will rely on reusable resources.
This is a sketch by Michael Lanni and the Art-Team. Note the cockpit for the driver, and the open cargo bay for 6 passengers. It will feature a Rocket Stove by Ray Cirino and Flame Effects by Widget. The car will be about 125% larger than the real rover and about twice as long because our rover carries people and remote instruments.
